Raptus - Heavy Offshore Popping Series

The Raptus Offshore Popping Rod Series is a purpose-built heavy popping range developed for targeting the world’s most powerful pelagic species in extreme offshore environments. Designed over three years of testing across multiple blank configurations and guide layouts, the Raptus series is engineered to maximise lure performance while delivering uncompromising lifting power. Built using multi-blend Japanese Toray graphite and reinforced with dual Cross Core Carbon construction, the blank provides exceptional torque and strength, allowing anglers to effectively work large cup-faced poppers while maintaining the stopping power required to turn fish such as giant trevally and yellowfin tuna in heavy structure and rough seas. 

The rod features a stiff, powerful taper that carries through to the tip section, enabling efficient popping action, solid hook sets, and superior control during high-drag fights. Premium Fuji componentry is used throughout, including a Fuji DPS reel seat with a custom locking nut system and Fuji KW stainless steel double-foot guides with SiC rings for maximum durability and heat dispersion. Extensively tested in demanding locations such as Cocos Keeling Islands, Montebello Islands, Fiji, and Oman, the Raptus Offshore Popping series is built to perform when targeting trophy fish in the harshest saltwater conditions.
